What is a SWOT analysis? In the corporate world, managers utilize a tool called a SWOT analysis to better understand the competitive landscape and create business strategies. Law firms can also benefit from the insights gained via this tool. A SWOT analysis will help you find focus for your firm as a business. The SWOT analysis looks at your firm’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and includes expert guidance and recommendations you can implement today to improve your marketing, your time management, improve your staffing situation, and increase cashflow/firm profitability. It can also be used as a basis for your firm’s strategic plan and the participating attorney will be provided the necessary tools to produce the actual plan.

To complete the SWOT process, attorneys will complete a confidential questionnaire regarding their practices (15-20 minutes) and the DISC behavioral assessment, which is completed online. Once those two items are complete, you will spend 60-90 minutes with a Phelps Legal Consultant advisor where we review the questionnaire, DISC and scores in depth and make a series of observations and recommendations. We also review and discuss in detail your firm’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
